Nika Yin has just been given godlike magical powers by a twelve year-old Hannah Deangelo, an omnipotent little girl who is still just a naive child and scared of the evils of the world, evils which her pre-teen telepathy can sense and see. Trusted with divity as long as she is willing to help, Nika is more than happy to keep Hannah's little hands clean for Nika has seen the worst of human nature having already lived an entire life full of rape, abuse, torture, and pain.
Eager to get on with her new role, Nika quickly harnesses her powers and zips off to visit the grandson of one of her former abusers, a man who has no idea the devil is real and wants revenge.
